Our client in suburban Covington, Kentucky, needed her gorgeous traditional country gothic home staged. This home had been on the market for over one year and not attracted any offers. Staging Partners LLC were able to provide phone and email consultation to direct the client through a series of improvements.
"The way you live in your home and the way we market and sell your home are two different things."
The kitchen view was obstructed by excessive window treatments and the light fixtures needed updating. Hardwood floors should usually shine through.
We direct our clients to consider "what can you live without?" — in almost every room, removing as many personal items as possible is a key to staging success.
Here we see a great room with plenty of potential but a few key staging techniques really make it sing. When you walk into a house, you know within 90 seconds if you are interested at a gut-level. This is the open-the-front-door view — we reduced and rearranged furniture and removed items to showcase the mantle and fireplace.
In the dining room, wallpaper was removed, emphasizing the wood trim and wainscoting. Many personal items were packed away, so potential buyers could envision their own lives in this beautiful space.
This powder room had valuable antiqued brass fixtures that are appropriate for this home's architectural style. We kept those, while changing the walls to a tasteful neutral and carefully chosen decorative items. This creates a simpler and more elegant space for a very small interior room.
